Do some public radio supporters: "Bring good profits to shareholders"? (english)
27 Sep 2002
Modified: 03 Oct 2002
A plea for donations because we're (WSilvaU) so wonderful, commercial-free, support free speech except when an executive veto doesn't think a Noam Chomsky peace appear being from Mars, and we air a spot from folks who really do: 'We bring good profits to shareholders'. Some public radio stations actually carry if you know some supporters they would support another public radio station especialy people who listen on-line or to archived material might be receptive to this. Scott Ritter was aired by Martin Voelker ( long before they even admitted to knowing he exsited.

Detailed CRAP on CARP / tap over bottled (english)
03 Oct 2002

Detailed CRAP (actually) Summary. Includes Mark Cuban, 'whowho...

"whose became 'whowho's streaming division after he sold it to them in 1998, says that the 'whowho deal was not only misguided but deliberately designed to stack the deck against small independent webcasters, and that 'whowho - even back then - never intended to really pay the full fees.

Read more "Publisher Kurt Hanson founded RAIN (Radio And Internet Newsletter) as a personal project in November of 1999."

..looking for details regarding FSRN Oct 2, 2002 from headline news regarding proposal to base fees on a station's income.

Water flows out of the tap and with proper filters that remove what a reliable water test says you have might in some way be like what flows from corporate media "network", "local" (sport-team sales coverage)and other forms generally if allowed to continue without an influence to confront it, the perspective it espouses will flow as usual. If I hear one more critique / refernce to "media"
without including the full "corporate media" to describe what is clearly motivated by different goals than independent media.... Media does or should not default to corporate media. The Broken Record Foundation!

Oh yea, the point of that rant was surely lost but if ever there was a test ground (US) to see if water can be made into a market, (not to mention not "regulated" like tap but yet so many presume it is "better")...Year the structure of choice and perceived convenience allows you to drink as you choose but it may not be so simple if various factors contribute to the likelihood that others will still be drinking from ther only choice they might have; a known contaminated to drink soda too but like the image of a regime doing nothing but handing out candy throughout the world (with only the ocassional mishap)
it can stand for something quite different to those directly affected.

Martin Voelker, No-U-Turn Radio (91.5 FM WMFO) will be on WZBC on Sunday morning 7-10 a.m. -details to follow.
