Oct26-Build @lternatives to ANSWER (english)
30 Sep 2002
Modified: 02 Oct 2002

Instead of boycotting anti-war demos being organized for Oct 26 in Washington DC, @nti-authoritarians should build alternative actions, so that our voice will not be silenced, and so that folks who do go to the ANSWER march (not all of whom know about IAC or WWP) can see that there is a vibrant, radical movement against the War!!!

Do you oppose the war?
Are you dissatisfied with what passes for the anti-war movement?
Well do something about it!

Instead of boycotting the upcoming ANSWER march planned for Washington DC on Saturday October 26, plan your own protest for that weekend! What better way to show the powers that be that a vibrant, @nti-authoritarian left wing exists and will not be stopped. So, if you don't want to spend the day walking down the same old streets listening to the same tired IAC/ANSWER speakers, then you need to plan your own event, with your own forms of resistance and entertainment. Anything is possible!!!

So why, exactly, shouldn't we participate? (english)

I don't think I quite get the point about not protesting in DC on the 26th. If silence=consent, then what's the point of being silent? It's only when there are *lots* of noisy people in the streets, a rich mixture that can't be characterised and dismissed, that Media Inc. can't not notice us.
