Bike Night 2002 Celebrating 25 Years of Bicycle Advocacy in Massachusetts

Bike Night 2002, MassBike's annual meeting, is coming up and there is good reason to celebrate: 25 years of making Massachusetts a better place to bicycle. In addition to some very good food and fun, there are some other elements that will make the evening quite unique.

Bike valet parking will be on-site, you'll hear about MassBike's recent Share the Road public service announcement tv spots and our promising new Police Training program, along with many other accomplishments and future challenges. Invitations have gone out to movers and shakers such as Shannon O'Brien, Jill Stein, and Mitt Romney as well as die hard bicycle proponents, including Representatives Anne Paulson and Timothy Toomey.

What: The State of the Bicycling State address: 25 years of bicycling, Influence Pedaler Awards, VIP speeches, silent auction, food, and fun.

When: Wednesday, November 20th. Bike Night will run from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $25 admission, $20 for MassBike members (All proceeds go to help fund MassBike's programs.)

Where: Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge. Located at One Kendall Square, at the intersection of Hampshire and Portland Streets.

Find out more information at

OR contact Turil Cronburg or Tim Baldwin 617-542-2453 or Tur- (at)

Some volunteers are still needed for the event (and get free admission).

The Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting bicycling in Massachusetts through education, advocacy, awareness, and improved cycling facilities.
