Dec. 4, 2002- the 33rd anniversary of Fred Hampton's murder (english)
05 Dec 2002
an elegy to fred hampton on the 33rd anniversary of his murder by the fbi and chicago pigs.
on this link to portland imc, this is a good summary of the events of dec. 4, 1969 in chicago, when the panthers were MOVING, and cointelpro was in full swing. The us government was terrified at the effectiveness of fred hampton and the chicago panthers at uniting the city's gangs against their commom enemies, and across territorial, political, racial and other barriers traditionally exploited by the MAN to keep them (and us) divided. they thought killing fred was the solution to their little problem, but forgot that this was the man who said, "you can jail [kill] a revolutionary, but you can't jail [kill] the revolution."

his spirit is alive and well today, though we still have a long way to go in preparing our communities to fulfill his dream.

UNITY! FREEDOM!
