i like pronography. i like bondage pornography. so does my girlfriend, a feminist, a film maker. we share our love of pornography.
pornography objectifies women, that is bad. but it also objectifies men as well. advertising, movies, music videos, radio programs, virtually anything in "pop culture" objectifies both sexes.
i don't think the discourse should be "pornography is bad." but rather "mainstream pronography/anything that falls within that category of pop-culture is bad." it's not just pronography that gives high school kids complexes about their weight and self-image. it's in sprite ads, it's in GAP billboards, it's on TV, in magazines, it's everywhere. kids see these images and think they have to live up to the standards suggested by some nameless, faceless entity.
sex is sold to children pretty much from the time they are born. barbie, G.I. Joe, He-man, any popular kids' toy. hell, even the colors of babies rooms and cribs and accessories reflect our societal stereotypes.

you can't blame sexual deviance and violent sexual crimes solely on pornography. bascially i think all the world's problems boil down to oppression, economic and social. crusade for something more important than ending pornography.
