no racism here

These are the links I found to English language news sites using the name that was integrated into the flash movie.
The only mention of racism is by the Arab leadership trying to formant some sort of incident which is what resulted.
There is no evidence of what lead to the killing by the neighbor. It could have been the victim (Mohamed Achrak) had his music on to loud. Maybe he burned the popcorn and it upset the murderer.
The only racism seems to be from the person that posted the Flash movie.
Be sure, it was a racist act.

The mayer said it wasn't a racist murder. The brother of Mohammed said at a press conference in the city hall that it was clearly a racist murder.
I ame a neighbour of the family and I can assure you that the racist tension in the city, and in particular in that quarter, with a racist party (who denies to be racist) who got nearly 1/3 of the votes (10 per cent can't vote because they are immigrants) it's a firtile soil for racist acts.
It's obvious that it's in the interest of the authourities to deny that it was a racist act because they have the political responsability of the racist tension in the country.
still no racism

Saying that there was racism in the geographic area that the killing took place is not proof. Until we hear that the murder killed the victim because he did not like the person's skin or ethnic origin we don't know. If we hear that the murderer had a history of racism we might be able to assume that it was racism.
Did the brother of the victim have dealings with the murder? Did he know his state of mind? Did he hear things from the victim about a history of bad experiences with the murderer?
It sounds like people are making generalities and assumptions with out any facts of the specific incident.
Since you claim to be a neighbor of the victim can you testify to knowing about the murderer's politics and beliefs? (in the U.S. third hand testimony is not admisable).
Until we have facts its just a claim by individuals with agendas.
Work of art

All right, I can prove nothing and I don't want to prove anything, that's a question of lawyers and judges. But I have my hart on the site of the oppressed and offended people and I made a work of art about there suffer and fear. When it disturbs you I suggest you to ask advice at wealthey solicitors and advisers. Possibly you got an answer after a few years that will satisfy you.
As for me, I lissened to the people and I speak with there tongue and I know that I expressed their feelings and no damn lawyer can change it. The trutht, dear sir, has a face, the face of the rich or the face of the oppressed. Make your choice but be fuly aware of it.
Art is not news

Well marc your admission above is in the right direction. You have admitted that you have no facts to back up the fact that you claim that the Murder in Antwerp was racially motivated.
I am not offended by art. I am offended by lies and improper use of the words "racist and racism." Your use of those words when they don't apply waters down their value.
Since IMC claims to be an outlet of news and facts I have to wonder why you think your art belongs here. Normally art belongs in a gallery. This is not a gallery.
If you wanted to express the outrage of the young rioters you should have had limited your cartoon to the individuals that light fires in the streets and distorted cars and the police that arrested them.
Some may argue that the "art" is a political cartoon. Legitamate political cartoons are based in facts not claims with no proof.
I do value the "truth" very highly. However, I don't blindly accept what ever a self proclaimed spokesman claims. I want facts. Further I am un willing to wait two years for an admission of a lie. By that time the damage has done. Your confession that you had no proof to your claim is what was needed. What I like to know is where and when did you personally speak to the individuals that were involved in the events?
If you don't have first line facts then the IMC editorial staff has the responsibility to remove marc's posting on all the IMC sites.
