End Saudi Apartheid -Divest from arb goverments (english)
18 Dec 2002
This picture of a highway sign outside of Mecca is symbolic of the system of Apartheid that distinguishes Muslims and non-Muslims in Saudi Arabia. Much like the Jim Crow laws of the old South, Saudi law creates a two-tier society in which non-Muslims are denied the right to practice their religion, travel freely, and even be buried on Saudi soil.

Christians living in Saudi Arabia are subject to violence, intimidation, and imprisonment. The victims of this government-sponsored discrimination are often Christian migrant workers, who are unable to protect themselves from the government’s programmatic discrimination. Without the help of the international human rights community, the Christians of Saudi Arabia will continue to be the victims of religious apartheid.

Each year American companies do billions of dollars in business with the Saudis. Our Government gives Billions of dollars in Military assistance to the Saudi government, WE must end our support of a corrupt regime that not only financially supported the terrorists on 9-11 but denies Human rights to its own people. Its time that we launch a divest from Saudi Arabia campaign along the same lines as the one against Israel. The Arab world is so dependant on American goods we can make a difference.
