Not just NEFAC.... (english)
30 Mar 2003
Thanks for compiling this photo journal of police harrassment against anarchists, however the anarchist contingent consisted of alot more people than NEFAC (and, likewise there were NEFAC people present who were not apart of this contingent). Boston has many anarchists, and a few few different anarchist organizations, and we all share the same police attention.
Thanks for the photos (english)

It bothered me a lot, and I saw cops without even the patches on their sleeves, dressed all in black, with baseball caps (turned backwards) leaving the main Boston Police station.

To NEFACista -- don't forget that there are plenty of plainclothes anarchists too, and the cops don't bother them specifically because they don't fit the image they're looking for. Whether this is good tactics or being closeted is up for debate, and I think context dependent, but I just wanted to stress that there were plenty more anarchists at the rally than those in the red and black contingent. But I think it's blatant harassment how the cops always focus on the red and black.
uh, you lose (english)

We got a big kick out of your comments under the photos.
You are so brave. We stand in awe of your might. Yuck.

See you next march.
RE: Not just NEFAC (english)

Yes, I recognize that there were many anarchists there that were not marching with the group I documented. For example, I am an anarchist but not part of any federation. The group I documented used a NEFAC banner and so I used that as their designation. No slight was meant against any other anarchist groups or individuals. Anarchists in general have become targets of law enforcement. We need to document this harassment and expose the political repression.

I didn't think it was an intentional slight of other anarchist participation on your part, it understandable. I think we are the only group that signs our banner and probably the least shy about propagandizing our ideas. However, we respect our anarchist comrades outside of immediate group, and do not want to see their efforts pushed aside.

sucks, but what can you really do? this isn't '00 anymore. don't expect the cops to run from us again anytime soon. and geez, don't whine, it's kind of pitiful.
