Boston's Week of Anarchy and Direct Democracy
01 Nov 2000
Some of next week's upcoming events that may be of interest to Boston's anarchist and anti-authoritarian activist community...
DIRECT DEMOCRACY!
NOT ELECTION HYPOCRISY!

Tuesday, November 7, Election Day

We are acting this Election Day to create a real public debate about who should make decisions on the issues and resources that effect our communities; unaccountable politicians and corporations or the people in our communities. Let's expose the undemocratic, corporate-controlled elections that mask a system that is destroying our communities, our environment and our freedom, and celebrate directly democratic alternatives.

Demonstration begins at Park Street Station, Boston Common, at 6pm, and will consist of a colorful procession of people and puppets who will visit sites of the Democrat and Republican parties to voice outrage at their mockery of democracy, and also visit places where community has reclaimed power from the system, where the vision of a directly democratic society is at work in reality.

Keep Up the Good Work.
06 Nov 2000
My only regret in life is that I haven't hit Lotto yet, so I can live in BOTH the San Francisco bay area and Boston, as well. I've finished my critical writing, and published it, since returning from six months in D.C. and Philly. Have run out of cash. Am on the downstairs couch at Oakland's notorious Hellarity House. I'd move to Boston area, because after 26 years of being based in SF/Berkeley, there's not a lot for me to do here now. Give me serious mutual cooperation, and I'll get myself a ride there.
