The DLC blasts Activists…Time to Fight Back! (english)
21 May 2003
Modified: 03:13:27 PM
Take Action, let the DLC now that it is the lack of “backbone” that has allowed Bush to get away with whatever he wants. We need a Democrat who stands up for what is right, and doesn’t take the safe road. Let them know that since the day they were given leadership positions in the party, there has been no unified message and the Republicans have continued to increase their grip on power.
The DLC blasts Activists…Time to Fight Back!

An internal Democratic Leadership Council memo leaked to press on May 14 says:

"But the great myth of the current cycle is the misguided notion that the hopes and dreams of activists represent the heart and soul of the Democratic Party."

Al From, founder and CEO of the Democratic Leadership Council and Bruce Reed, President of the DLC, yesterday circulated this memo to “Leading Democrats” in which they argue that traditional Democratic values are “an aberration” and that the thousands of grassroots Democrats inspired by Governor Dean’s message to “take back our party” are “activist elites” and not “real Democrats.”

This vicious attack was not just an attack on Howard Dean, but an attack on the very people who care about health care for all Americans, who care about adequate funding for school boards, and who care that this country provide moral leadership in the international community.

Tell them to stand aside and let “Real Democrats” take control of the party. The elitists are people like Al From who thinks standing for nothing is way to go.

Vote Green (english)
21 May 2003
Because the democrat and republican parties have become servants for corporate interests, we need to include our message with a vote for the Greens
as far as trying to fix the democrats goes. . .fuck 'em.
they suck as bad as the republicans.
until the grassroots movement includes the working class, we must send our votes to candidates who stand up against war and stand up for human rights and healthcare . . .
