8/11 Friday Demonstration Copley Square 5pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Boston, August 8, 2006 In response to the recent atrocities committed
in Lebanon, concerned Lebanese-Americans of Greater Boston will lead a
peaceful demonstration and candlelight vigil at Copley Square on
Friday, August 11, starting at 5pm. This grassroots event is one of
many being organized across the U.S. and worldwide.

In solidarity with the people of Lebanon, we strongly support the
Lebanese Government in:
Denouncing the Israeli Militarys killing of
innocent Lebanese civilians, devastation of Lebanons infrastructure,
and terrorizing its entire population
Demanding an immediate and unconditional ceasefire to
end all hostilities and halt the maritime and air siege imposed by
Israel on Lebanon

Urging the U.S. Government and international
community to provide comprehensive support in ending the destruction of
Lebanon and aiding in its full recovery
Establishing its full sovereignty over all Lebanese
territory with the sole right and duty of defending the dignity and
security of all Lebanese citizens

We call on all concerned citizens to join us at the demonstration for
the immediate cessation of the humanitarian and economic catastrophe
taking place in Lebanon today

Do you think it's a good idea to wear a flannel shirt to Friday's demo ?
