Kerry Edwards = Bush, IMCs silent?!
28 Feb 2004
What happened to the progessive movement in this country? Dean stole $40 mil so now everyone is going to give up and accept another millionaire phony that will continue with ALL of bush's stupid policies? WTF happened to moveon.org- they are silent at this critical time in our nation? My guess: George Soros has his billions dangling in front of them and won't let them back Kucinich!

Isn't Dennis Kucinich THE Alternative to the continued corporate control of our gov't
It's like the strange post 911 illogic has hit the IMC network and they are collectively refusing to feature the real alternative to bush.

I'm sorry Al, but in the CNN debate you lost 100% of my respect as you repeatedly cut off Dennis and appeared to be Larry King's stooge sidekick. We're fightin to win Al, and imho, you're looking like a puppet of the puppetmasters.

There is still time to get every IMC to have a Feature story on Kucinich before Super Tuesday... as well as MASSIVE Coverage for the next several months in the remaining primaries. Isn't this what the IMC network is all about... formed out of the WTO protests... here is the guy that is going to pull out of the WTO... and all i get is freeper responses at other imcs.. 'we're not democrats, we're anarchists, don't vote" or some such nonsense.

Why won't indybay put up a feature, or Atlanta, or NYC... imo, there is NO logical explanation other than cointel-pro at work.
Anyone got a clue???

Are we really going to accept this sham primary and a 'choice' between two skull and boners in Nov?

average joe?
John Kerry at the CNN Debate 2/26

Typical Politican Half-Truth: Kerry claims to accept no big money
"I am the only United States senator who's been elected four times currently serving who has never accepted political action committee money in any of my races for the United States Senate. No checks from those interests. The only people who've contributed me are, yes, some people who lobby. The total amount in lifetime amounts to about 1 percent of all the money that I've ever raised."

John Kerry Leads in Lobby Money - Washington Post
Kerry, a 19-year veteran of the Senate who fought and won four expensive political campaigns, has received nearly $640,000 from lobbyists, many representing telecommunications and financial companies with business before his committee, according to Federal Election Commission data compiled by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.
For his presidential race, Kerry has raised more than $225,000 from lobbyists, better than twice as much as his nearest Democratic rival. Like President Bush, Kerry has also turned to a number of corporate officials and lobbyists to "bundle" contributions from smaller donors, often in sums of $50,000 or more, records provided by his campaign show.

Re: Kerry Edwards = Bush, IMCs silent?!
29 Feb 2004
moveon.org was never really progressive. even their ads against bush have fairly offensive classist messages of how we need a "return to normality". it's only what you can expect from a group founded to get congress to "move on" from clinton's monaca lewinsky scandal.

putting all your effort into kucinich is not the answer either though. kucinich in the end is cooptive. he's taking energy out of the anti-war movement, out of street organizing, out of community organizing, and dumping it into his own campaign. he's a fishhook to lure people to the democratic party. he has a hard stance against third party politics; do you think he will endorse nader, or whoever the democrat candidate is?

and he's still a capitalist, and green capitalists, when put in power (you can see this in germany), have ended up being as repressive to labor movements as traditional parties. the difference between kucinich and kerry is like the diference between trader joes and shaws. when it REALLY comes down to it, they're both in it for the profit.

the answer is not in the presidential elections. the answer is continuing struggle against US imperialism, and against the US war machine. that's where the energy needs to be focused.
Is This an Anarchist Only Site?

Because I am not among that group, and the nay-sayers here look like whiney tantrum throwers, certainly not anyone I would choose to support. You talk about Nader? Nader is URGING people to vote for Kucinich.

You are failing to support either by trashing Kucinich. Your sense of solidarity appears to be strong only when it suits you.

To anyone that hasn't given up yet, VOTE KUCINICH! VOTE SHARPTON! VOTE FOR NADER! WRITE SOMEONE IN! But please DO VOTE!

'gene' has offered no workable plan, no realistic alternative, only sour grapes. No thanks.

Going into 'Super Tuesday', this article should be a feature. This man has taken some couragious stands and offers a real opportutnity to choose a vastly different course.

Failing to do that gives IMC criticism of mainstream news exclusion a very hollow ring.
