Bush Protest 3/25: who's organizing?
13 Mar 2004
who's getting this jawnz together? can we have a spokescouncil maybe?
this should be big. i mean. george w bush is coming to boston, massachusetts. this should be a REALLY big deal. my circle is doing what we can, in the way of publicity, a possible statue-toppling action and maybe a political folk band.

however, the overall logistics seem to be lacking. has anyone stepped up to create a definitive plan? like meet at the boylston T and march to the hotel, possibly? hit up some office buildings owned by bush's supporters? i'm not really on top of these things, but i'm sure someone in boston is. it just seems like so far, people are just publicizing the day and the location without any real plan to protest.

the confirmation code didn't come... i'm a real person with a real email address though.
Total anarchy.

I recommend not discussing it on the newswire nor discussing it on the Internet at all. Find friends and comrades. Get together. Plan something and do it.

The more things going on at the same time the better.
Anyone else notice that cops use "z" instead of "s" to look cool?
13 Mar 2004
Just wondering.
Don't bother the little tyke.

That's my boy Veritas. We pay him to post questions like that. He's a member of Operation TIPS. They give him extra credit in his high school civics class for spying on hippies.

We should all be careful but not to the point of paralysis.
There are general ideas that can be discussed, just avoid specifics of plans.
Just 'cause we know they're out to get us doesn't mean we should be paranoid.

walking the line between caution and paranoia, my dears.
dear cops: what's "jawnz""?
Paranoia is not an issue.
14 Mar 2004
Some anonymous person wants to know WHO is organizing events involving a visit by POTUS. Perhaps that person is just naive. The important issue is that you can be 100% certain that the BPD, FBI and Secret Service all want to know the answer to that question and are reading this newswire.

Once the above agencies know who is organizing, they will be watched, their email will be read and their telephones will be monitored. In today's police state, all the Secret Service will need to get a warrent to do these things is to see the replies to the question.

That is not paranoia. That is a fact.

Consider the drastic actions taken wherever Bush goes to silence dissent. This is the one place where data will be mined extensively (this newswire).

We've been over this before. Similar questions have been asked with the same answers. We have documented proof of police monitoring this newswire. Discussing these issues on any level in a public forum, especially on the Internet, is pure stupidity.

We should get there early and leaflet downtown boston all morning on the day of the asshole's visit.
Boston has to represent with an unignorable amount of Bush haters.
14 Mar 2004
I'm sure that if you offered a proposal for a spokescouncil with a location and date and all that people will come.
Go for it. A little bit of Boston activists working together might be cool.

well, okay - i should have prefaced this with the stipulation that i wanted to know if anyone was PUBLICALLY organizing this. sorry if i offended some of you armchair internet anarchists, but i'll be in the streets that day, and hoping i won't have to spend half that time running around looking for "comrades".

The boring liberals at United for Justice with Peace are planning stuff. "Stuff" in this case probably means begging the pigs for a permit to be 1/2 a mile way so they can hold candles and pray or whatever is it they do.

Yeah I've been thinking the same thing. However, the lack of an organization/leader makes me feel like maybe some more radical activism will have the freedom to flourish if you know what i mean.

Peace and Love,
