Americans Support Israel Over Palestinians, 66 -6%
Israel continues to enjoy a plurality of bi-partisan American support while only 6 percent support the Palestinians. In addition to voters’ individual support, 66 percent of voters agree America should stand with Israel vis-à-vis the Palestinians. This sentiment cuts across party lines as 80 percent of GOP and 59 percent of Democratic respondents say America should support Israel. This strong allegiance to Israel stems from the idea that, “Israel shares our values including freedom of speech, religion, press and the right to vote.” Even in the context of “all the problems America now faces at home,” 58 percent of voters agree “America needs to stand with Israel” over the statement “Israel needs to take care of itself.”
“The more things change, the more things stay the same,” commented Neil Newhouse of Public Opinion Strategies. “Even though Americans endured a long and difficult election, at the end of the day there is very strong support for Israel and significant concern about Iran as a threat not just to Israel but to the US.”

Trusting the Israeli Project on their facts and figures is the same like trusting Hamas' facts and figures. The truth of the matter is that Israel has murdered over 250 Palestinian children (thousands wounded) and that is a crime against humanity.
The Israel government actions is TREASON against the security of Israel, against the Jewish struggle, against the horrors of the holocaust.

I spent last summer in S'derot- a dozen times a dau\y, sometimes more- the red alert would sound. S'derot is well within the green line of Israel, btw. Rockets rain down on S'derot- Americans never hear about this.
Its astonishing Israel put up with Attcks on her soil for so long- America never would have.
The offensive is against Hamas and terror- not against the Plaestinian people. |

Have you been to Gaza or the West Bank? I ask.
I can also use the same reversed psychology for Gaza. Imagine if Canada had control of all the borders, airspace, and waterways of the United States, which is not really a "country" but territory that has been occupied for decades.
Then imagine that the Canadians, in a show of solidarity, remove their settlements from main US states but not all. Just half. The other half is riddled with checkpoints, fences, walls... Effectively splitting the US in 2, and then Canada decides to "support" the side that most easily acquiesces to ALL their demands.
Then imagine Canada exerts an economic (including food and gas) blockade on the US. No one can get in or out.
Then imagine the US, in an act of resistance, sends small home-made rockets into Canada (because it really doesn't have the military capacity to do otherwise).
Then imagine the Canada attacking full force with all they have. Killing at least 200 US citizens per 1 Canadian. Wounding close to 5,000. Half of them women and children. Using biological weapons such as white phosphorus. Attacking UN compounds, schools, media buildings.
I'm not sure I can safely say that Canada has the "right to defend itself" without wanting to do something for all the civilians in the US. Would you? |

I have been to the West Bank. It would not have been as safe for me to visit gaza.
BTW, the palestinians are building palatial mansions with swimming pools and satellite dishes all over the West Bank, particularly in Abu Dis- the EU/American funding is still lining peoples pockets and not going towards infrastructure.

Well, in many ways, canada does- for us to acess our discongiguous Bantuastan, Alaska, we need to go through canada. Imagine how the US would react if Canada was attacking Americans trying to visit Alaska.
How about this analogy:
The Pine Ridge lakota are about as disadvataged as any people in America. They have been screwed over bythe US government for generations.
Lets say the lakota were tired of living in Pine Ridge and decided they wanted all of South Dakota. Lets say they decided to assert they demands by firing missiles on South dakota cities.
What would the US government do? Do you think they said "oh, yeah, of course, take all of South dakota, just stop firing missiles?" or do you think the govermnet would fight back?
What do you think would happen if the US ceded South Dakota just to stop the terror?
I'd guess North Dakota would be next. |
