Racism and sexual discrimination are some of the biggest social problems that this country, and the world, face right now. This particular event is important to this IMC because it involves social issues, the media, political activism, a minority group (in this country), and interest to local Boston IndyMedia readers. The interests and focus of the local community reflects the larger problems of the nation, globe, etc, and this particular event was important for a portion of our demographic.

Your comment reads like a sarcastic stab at this event in particular and political activism as a whole, and not constructive criticism including suggestions for any other larger or related issues that we are facing.

Thanks for the sarcasm. Let's hear something more encouraging and inclusive next time you post. Please!

It kind of resembles the old racist comparison between African-Americans and monkeys.
