Who Apologizes for Muslims?
11 May 2004
Islam murders innocent American, says Arab Terrorists.
So, the apologies have been demanded and appropriately delivered (no, not Richard Clarke's), Investigations have been underway since January, the Court Martials are soon to begin, the lawyers have started jockeying for the cameras while making sure we have the correct spelling of their names, and the politicians continue their headhunt for an Administration official to place blame, not necessarily a certain official as the Internet howls and TV sound suggest, but any official. Ted Kennedy has already picked a new Defense Secretary without naming a replacement for Powell at State, I'm sure the President appreciates the misplaced suggestion. Many wish Kennedy was replaced by someone who actually cared about the person soon to die in Kennedy's Motor Vehicle that fateful night so long ago... but that is another sad story.

Back up just a little over a month and we see the reports of an American gone missing in Iraq while working to help rebuild part of that countries communication infrastructure. This abduction came long before the release of the now infamous Jailhouse pictures that some have come to describe as a "weird Mapplethorpe exhibit". Nick Berg, unfortunately, was not as lucky Thomas Hamill, the American truck driver who was able to escape his kidnappers/assailants. Nick was the person we saw when, after selecting our news websites from the "Favorites" list, as the blindfolded American who was kidnapped by terrorists in Iraq because he was guilty of helping Iraqi citizens. Nick has now met a fate as disturbing as became the 4 Americans who were killed, burned and strung up on an Iraqi bridge. Nick Berg was decapitated by his prisoners, made to talk about his family, then was Murdered by these savage Arab terrorists because they say he was not "swapped" with detainees of Abu Ghraib prison. Once again we see how these terrorists have taken an abducted, innocent person previously illegally detained, merged him with an issue of opportunity, and ended his life without the terrorists achieving anything but to further the American resolve against them.

Some Americans, however, will refuse to join this resolve let alone have it strengthened. The columnist Michelle Malkin has written an interesting piece outlining the mischievous tactics of one American organization, namely the Council on American Islamic Relations. After reading the articele, what is still disturbing however is the fact that the American Islamists at the Council refuse to denounce these brutal and horrific atrocities committed by these Muslim/Islamic extremists against their own countrymen. As often as it is repeated, it is as often met with silence, the cries for Muslims to denounce this inhuman behavior committed in the name of the Islamic religion. It is clear that the timeline does not meet the facts when it comes to the Terrorists motivation for this savage murder of yet another innocent person.

As we deal with the transgression of a few American soldiers in the open, we fight a foe that ties headscarves and dons ski masks to themselves, turn on their own video equipment and hide as they commit another senseless crime against humanity. Islamic "murders of opportunity", by militants against Americans, should be denounced loudly and rigorously, especially by those who say they wish to improve Islamic-American relations. Until then, they remain propaganda artists generating rhetoric and a vitriolic fervor only a terrorist could love.

Well put. People (often on this board) lose sight of the fact that just because Americans are doing bad stuff in Iraq, it somehow excuses Arabs from their bad acts. Let's regress a little people: TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT. We should fight the war in Iraq, but also fight those that murder civilians for a political message - no matter what that political message may be.
More racism.

Who will apoligize for Christians? Who will apoligize for Jews?

Religions and nations are not one and the same. Nations are rules by leaders and religions are rules by ideas. No one is available to apologize for ideas. Therefore, the article is crap.
