Hideous Kicking Of Cows In The Face At Idaho Dairy Which Supplies Burger King /
Now in Idaho a courageous journalist such as Upton Sinclair, author of The Jungle, could go to jail, says Will Potter, for filming the cows being kicked in the face at an Idaho dairy, but animal torture farm hands virtually never go to jail. Senators Coburn and Inhofe of Okahoma as well as 2 Georgia senators introduced the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, helped into law by the FBI. It criminalizes the exposure of animal torture, while protecting the torturers. Because of the national law,, several states have passed ag gag bills criminalizing the freedom of the press in regards to animals.
A law in Texas which outlawed defaming meat became news when Oprah Winfrey and Howard Lyman (http://www.madcowboy.com) were sued for criticizing animal flesh on the Oprah Show.
Twice the 5th Circuit Court in Texas upheld the right to expose the many toxins in animal cadavers.
Mercy for Animals filmed Bettencourt Dairies of Idaho, a major Burger King dairy supplier, and has a website of similar horrors in many states. http://mercyforanimals.org
Among other cruelties the video "shows workers at the dairy beating cows with a pink cane as the animals slipped and slid on the wet concrete floor; workers kicking and stomping cows that have fallen between the metal bars in the milking stalls; and a cow being dragged out of the barn by a chain around her neck as she lies on the concrete floor.." http://nydailynews.com
