"Donald Trump's decision to launch cruise missile strikes on a Syrian Air Force Base was based on a lie. Syria did not drop a military chemical weapon on innocent civilians...
He committed an act of war without justification. But the fault is not his alone. Those who sit atop the NSC, the DOD, the CIA, the Department of State should have resigned in protest. They did not. They are complicit in a war crime." |

Time to end the endless quagmire! |

Time to end the endless quagmire and withdraw all US troops from the Middle East!
Time to abandon the justifications of militarism, the self-healing market, and "efficient" financial markets!
Time to see the young and the poor as assets and not threats, as subjects of history deserving opportunities!
Time to see reality as multilayered and unfolding and not as descriptive and self-evident!
Poverty results from misguided social, economic and housing policy and doesn't come from nowhere. Poverty returns and inequality hurts. Countermeasures are necessary against exploding inequality and precarious work. Transferring power to corporations isn't a countermeasure but a path to oligarchy, corporate feudalism, cynicism and nihilism.
The economist Joseph Stiglitz diagnoses our situation: Weapons that don't work against enemies that don't exist with money we don't have! |
