DNC2RNC Day One -- Recordings

The DNC2RNC "Democracy Uprising" march is a 250-mile walk from the Democratic National Convention in Boston to the Republican National Convention in New York City. The month-long voyage brings together grassroots activists from across the U.S. to promote democratic alternatives beyond the two-party system.

The journey began on Friday, July 30, 2004, at the Boston Common, a large park in the center of the city. This reporter was there for the beginning, and interviewed several organizers and participants. Here are recordings from the first day.
