Chronology of recent FBI harassment of activists

The following list was compiled by the Boston Anarchist Black Cross (ABCboston-DNC04 (at)>) and Kansas Mutualaid

July 8, 2004 - NYC. FBI visits home of a NYC activist's parents. Officers interrogate parents in the home. One officer left card: Richard W. Ockovic, NYPD/FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force; 26 Federal Plaza New York, NY; 646-696-2113, 646-773-8116 (cell) [boston abc]

July 19, 2004 - BOSTON. FBI visits home where activists live and where some activists are staying. One officer left card (someone has contact info). officers also later contact family of one person who lives in boston. [boston abc]

July 20, 2004 - BOSTON. FBI returns for another visit. [boston abc]

July 21, 2004 - BOSTON. FBI returns for another visit. [boston abc]

July 22, 2004 - BOSTON. FBI returns for another visit. [boston abc]

July 22, 2004 - DENVER. FBI visit, enter two activist homes and interrogate and harass residents. Two people are arrested from one home on bench warrants for failure to appear and unpaid bike tickets. [kansas mutual aid]

July 22, 2004 - FT COLLINS. FBI phones activist. [colorado imc - posted by paul, fbi (at)]

July 23, 2004 - FT COLLINS. FBI visits and questions the same activist at his place of work. [colorado imc -posted by paul, fbi (at)]

July 23, 2004 - LAWRENCE. FBI contacted the parents of a Lawrence activist.

July 23, 2004 - LAWRENCE. FBI have tried to contact at least 20 local activists by phone, friends and family. [kansas mutual aid]

July 23, 2004 - LAWRENCE. Two un-uniformed people carrying sidearms driving a dark SUV having been spotted knocking on the door and searching the mailbox of a Lawrence anarchist. [kansas mutual aid]

July 23, 2004 - KIRKSVILLE, MO. FBI visted the home of an anarchist. [kansas mutual aid]

Activists in Topeka, KS, Columbia, MO and St. Louis, MO were also contacted by the FBI. [kansas mutual aid]

July 24, 2004 - BOSTON. Seeds of Peace bus is raided and searched by FBI, Secret Service, Boston cops, firefighters, homeland security. Haz-mat team confiscates 5 propane tanks. [boston abc]

July 24, 2004 - BOSTON. Seeds of Peace bus is raided again. Lt. Frank Gaughan badge #129 boarded the bus despite activists telling him they did not consent to a search. [boston abc]

July 25, 2004 - BOSTON. Seeds of Peace bus and Frida bus are harassed and illegally searched again. [boston abc]

July 26, 2004 - ST LOUIS. Three activists served with grand jury indictments after several days of being followed/surveilled. [kansas mutual aid]

July 27, 2004 - ATLANTA. FBI calls activist. Four agents later visit the activist's home. [emailed to boston abc]

The three people arrested on Canal St during the DNC were each removed from the jail cell and asked if they wanted to answer questions by an FBI agent. He totally wasted his time but his business card made a pretty good paper airplane.

i trust this has all been past on to the aclu person who is doing a thing on activist fbi harrassment? i know baam folks have the info.

why do i smell 1919 and 1953?
