So who did it?
27 Aug 2004
Someone blew up a (fairly animal free) research facility.
I don't get it, really. Stem cells are the best way to totally eliminate the use of animals in research by focusing scientific progress around the human body. So which one of you idiots decided to pipe bomb the lab? Real great idea, waste money and progress because you're anti-corporate.

May your loved ones die of otherwise curable diseases.

Maybe this bombing wasn't fueled by anti-corporate sentiments. Maybe it was a pro-life organization opposed to stem cell research, genius.

Sounds weird that maybe it's a right-wing group? Don't forget they walk into clinics and shoot abortion doctors as well.

For that matter, it may well have been based on a personal grudge rather than politics. Don't jump to conclusions.
Sounds Like A Right Wing Nut.

Anti abortionists? Right to lifers? Some right wing religious nuts.
Anyone with common sense knows that stem cells help. Not hinder.

With the level of police intimidation against pepople who consider themselves to be "activists", I bet alot of people are glad that they were in NYC when this happened.

It's just one more excuse for the current powers-that-be to use to take away more of our rights.

And you know what, if it didn't hurt anyone at the lab one and was JUST property damage, whomever planned it did a pretty good job of getting their message out in EXACTLY the way they wanted. When it comes down to it, property damage is just that - something that you can always try to get back. Nobody was hurt (financial gains for some mega-corporation don't count as HURT)

Except, this looks like a back page story, doesn't it. Guess whoever decided to publish the story didn't want to advertise the story THAT much.

At least the powers-that-be still have the BIG LIE working for them in NYC...

I don't object to property destruction, but I don't think bombing is ever a good idea. You get the timing wrong or someone's there when you're not expecting it--you could kill someone, quite likely someone innocent. You look at the groups that tried that stuff on a regular basis in the 1960s and 70s, a lot of them eventually screwed up and killed someone. Hell, the Weather Underground folks managed to kill themselves.
