Red Sox Concede Game 4

Boston: Explaining that "the cards are stacked against us" and "it's unlikely that we'll perform better in Game 4 than we did in the previous three, Terry Francona, on behalf of the Boston Red Sox, today conceded Game 4 and the American League Championship to the New York Yankees. "The Yankees are formidable opponents," Francona told a tearful crowd of supporters, "and it became clear to us by the end of Game 3 that they would continue to perform better than us. After all, no team has recovered from a 3-0 loss, and it's ridiculous to think that we'd be the first." Francona addressed objections by fans, many of whom already purchased tickets for Game 4, by stating that his decision was "in the best interests of our fans, for whom a prolonged playoff season would only bring anguish and, ultimately, disappointment. I don't wish to divide our supporters any further."

In a formal statement issued from his current office, the waiting room of Executive Placement Services, Theo Epstein supported Francona's decision, adding that "Fans should not take this in any way as a statement of our lack of faith in our team. The management, after reviewing the statistics and the overwhelming majority of editorials by professional analysts, decided that this was the best way to prepare a stronger showing next season."

This is great. I can only imagine how things would be if that powerful emotional connection and spirit felt by Red Sox fans were ever to translate to important social and political issues

It was more like conceding Game 3 with the score 19-8 and the final out a foot away from landing in a Yankee glove.

Doesn't surprise me that Kerry concede the election.
These people are all the same. Call themselves Republicans and Democrats. Yet, neither would lift a finger to help us working slobs.
The way the Republicans stold the election? Is criminal.
Time for an overhall of our election method. Eye scan everyone. Or face scan. That way? One vote for all. And a receipt for each voter.
It's either that? Or another stolden election in 2008!
I loathe our politicians! ALL of them!
Truth must prevail!
