Re: National Day of Protest Against Military Recruitment in our Communities & in our Schools

I'd like to know where all the anti-war protests were when Clinton bombed Kosovo, Haiti, Somalia, and the Sudan! Also, where were the protests during Operation Desert Fox?

HYPOCRITES!
umm...

A Few More Tips

I pay my local High School seniors a $1 bounty for every recruiting poster they take down in school. Helps them pay for college.

Another thing to do now, besides from educating yourself, is to take direct action by removing those damm recruiting posters and selective service forms from post offices. You know what they look like-about 6 inches tall, bluish-purple-they say 'Men 18-25 years: do the right thing, read it, fill it, mail it.
Most post offices have a small stack of 30-50 out in a selective service container. Take them, hold on to them or recycle them. If you want, go to the clerk, tell them you're a teacher and get a box for 'your students'. Be inventive and creative. Post new stickers about how fucked the draft and this war/occupation is. It's one thing you can do to put a dent in their plans. Hold on to the draft forms and if thereis a draft, they can be used as part of an anti-draft action [public dumping etc].

The next step is to go to the recruiting centers and take the posters of their walls, yeah yeah, and then the left foot, and the right foot below the ankle, and then the ears.

Just get one soldier has to live on social security and military disability benefits to sit in front of the recruitment office. Let him or her tell the kids going in what you get if you have an arm or a leg blown off during a war. That should turn them away pretty quick.

I think it is interesting that these groups say "by any means yesterday" at the top of the flyer when these groups don't believe in such tactics.

and by yesterday i obviously meant necessary...

also, this is an ongoing battle, not a two hour protest. the idea above is a good one, and since there are plenty of homeless veterans in the city, it shouldn't be hard.... if you are willing to pay them. some group should hire one or two homeless people to do that.
