Commentary :: Human Rights
Antisemitism alive and well in southern USA
12 Apr 2005
An American has been under house arrest without trial for
more than four years. In America.

In a dictatorship, a Jew can be persecuted simply because
he is a Jew. In a democracy, those who wish to persecute
the Jew must find some other pretext -- preferably one
that tempts his friends to desert him for fear of being
tarred with the same brush. But if the persecutors are
not careful, their real motive can be discovered by
comparing their treatment of the Jew with their treatment
of others who are being pursued on similar or more
serious pretexts.

Jew this, Jew that...

We don't care if the target is a Jew. We care that he is a human being. Speak up about the other human beings too (e.g. Arabs for example).

I realize this may surprise some Jews, but most non-Jews don't see the work in terms of "Jews" and "Non-Jews" and, quite frankly, some of us are getting a little tired of the fucking endless whining. If you wish to be taken seriously, think in terms of humans and not in terms of us/them.
