Children Love Havana Theater Festival

Children Love Havana Theater Festival
Havana, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) The 12th International Havana Theater Festival encourages this year companies working for the children´s audiences.

The group KDO, from Spain, strutted its spectacular Titiricirco, a show that mixes circus and puppets manipulated by the body movement of the puppeteers in comical situations.

The Fausto theater was packed with a grateful public despite hurricane Rita, because Titiricirco trapped both kids and adults with the simple language of presenter and director, the charismatic Mr. Milo, Rafit the fakir and his enchanted snake, Serpentina, among others.

Equally attractive is Babel Teatro company, of Argentina, with screenplay by Emanuel Shikaneder and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Magic Flute.

At the local Teatro Nacional de Guiñol (Puppet theater), wire puppets staged a singular fairy tale in which young prince Tamino travels to the dark world in search of his beloved Pamina, amid a combination of light and shadows in a dark chamber.

The Magic Flute, conceived at times with an excessively naive language, is articulate with the music of Mozart in a beautiful and fascinating environment where puppets are the protagonists.

Sounds great! But what possible relevance does this puppet show in cuba have for progressives in Boston?

There is too much of this meaningless crap on indy lets get serious and focused on Saturday's march.
