this is fucking bullshit
03 Oct 2000
this photo and headline clearly plays into the spirit of women as sex object to sell product. i can't imagine that a campaign that espouses feminism would appreciate this, or the women portrayed. its also an innapropiate for an imc site, an organization based on promoting social equality. i wish i could come up with a more elegant rebuttal to this, but its so silly and mainstream i'm not sure what to say.

I think this photo is just fine. It's not a sexists thing to say "Nader girls."

i am a woman and i wasn't trying to be sexist or offend you, i was just reporting what was there. there are all kinds and i believe in equality of press as well as men and woman. i thought it was rather strange that the women in this photo chose to express their spirit this way... and later i thought of the article i read in the phoenix with the "bud" girls in the debate tents on O3 and i thought that at least these girls were dressed... they weren't trying to sell the slogan with their bodies like the bud girls, i think they were just trying to make a creative sign.
