And your point is?

I'm curious about why this comic of Mohammad is posted here?

Last week, when comic were printed depciting Muhammad, a storm of violence and protest erupted due to the Koran's barring of the image of Muhammad. Personally, I believe that those Muslims that rioted over the image have been disrespectful of the planet's cultural diversity and I find their violence over the issue to be immature, pathetic, and self defeating. However, as provocative as those initial comics were, I do not believe their authors and/or publishers expected a violent reaction.

In the days that have followed, several publications, with full knowledge of the potential reaction by some small percentage of the Islamic community, republished the comics. Those who have done know that pubishing those images may provoke violence.

So, my question is this. Did you post it to provoke more violence, did you post it to offend muslims, or did you post it to assert your right to free speech?

If you did it for the later reason, why did you not include your full name? Yes, you have the right to anonymity, but you know that any possible violence may be directed at Boston IMC since you did not include your name. Does that make you a coward? I'm not including my name because I have no reason to believe that Boston IMC will suffer violence for my remarks, but you do have reason to believe this.

Personally, I think Muslims should get used to living in a pluralistic world and not overreact when they hear or see something that contradicts their beliefs. However, I don't think it is wise to do something merely out of the desire to provoke violence.
