May 1, 2006: Call to Action!

"El Gran Paro Americano 2006" "The Great American Boycott 2006"

"Un dia sin immigrante" "A day without an immigrant"

Immigrants contribute 7 billion in social security per year. they earn 240 billion, report 90 billion, and only are reimbursed 5 billion, "where are the 85 billion?" They also contribute to the U.S. economy 25 billion more than they receive in healthcare, etc., etc., etc. According to the anti-immigrant politicians and hatemongers, "immigrants are a drain on society." If this is true, then during the day on May 1st the stock market will surge, and the economy will boom. If not, we prove them wrong once and for all. We know what will happen!

Therefore, the "March 25th Coalition against HR4437 in Los Angeles," the organizers of the mega march of almost 2 million on March 25th, has called for an emergency videoconferenced meeting on April 8th between Los Angeles and any city that wishes to join the efforts toward "El Gran Paro Americano 2006." The following meeting will take place in Chicago on April 22nd, we ask that all that wish to participate and be a part of a national effort on May 1st and beyond, to attend by finding facilities in your areas that can hold the meeting, technologically.

The points of unity are: No Work, No School, No Sales, and No Buying, and also to have rallies around symbols of economic trade in your areas (stock exchanges, anti-immigrant corporations, etc.).

Cities across the United States have marched during the week, therefore, in essence observing a regional boycott, which is only felt regionally. The March 25th Coalition against HR4437, calls for these regions to develop a national network that will "connect the dots." We believe with numbers we have power, the power currently necessary to keep the pressure on the White House to propose provisions that are just and fair for all immigrants.

We will settle for nothing less than full amnesty and dignity for the millions of undocumented workers presently in the U.S. We believe that increased enforcement is a step in the wrong direction and will only serve to facilitate more tragedies along the Mexican-U.S. border in terms of deaths and family separation.

More details to come... Keep your eye on and or write to granmarcha2006 (at) and any tax deductible donations should be made to:

La Hermandand
Mexicana, 7915 Van Nuys Blvd. Panorama City, CA 91402.

Please organize your areas, and join this monumental event that will put our mark on U.S. history.

i listen to a lot of talk radio. latley i have been hearing more and more how blacks are the ones getting scrwed out of jobs. i have also been finding posting for blacks to unite and apose immagrants comming to this country that they are the reason why so many blacks are with out jobs.also that its not true that only immagrants will do jobs in the fields, that if those jobs paid better blacks and white americans would take these jobs .blacks i belive are being missled to belive these prapaganda.the fact is that if those jobs paid a rate that would apeal to white and blacks to want to take these jobs, the AMERICAN public would be paying 5.00 for an apple or 12.00 dollars for a bunch of grapes.american farm growers all ready recive goverment finacial aid(welfare).i belive it should be made a point that blacks not fall to these lies.

I congatulate everyone envolved behind the idea of a Call to Action. Now it is our job as immigrants to support this call. It's about time we are seen as contibutors to economic growth of this nation and not as invaders and job takers. Once in a lifetime we as humans are called to do something greater than ourselves and this is the call that has been a long time coming. If we do not unite now, our future and most importantly our future generations will suffer the consequences.

Well I am very upset with this nation and it aint the first and I bet it won't be the last. I swear what kind of an idiot president did the people elect becuase if you notice it all comes down to Bush. I am very pissed off right now becuase people like to talk crap and never have the desency to back it up we all migrated to amercia. Not one person can say that their ancestors were born here, but the Native Americans Who were savagley killed by the Americans for the land that didn't belong to them in the first place. Americans are proud to be americans when if you were to take a look at everything we are the ones who always seem to mess something up and their we go paying for it. That is what is going to end up happening. We are just going to end up with a civil war in our hands. Another thing is why is every one blaming the Mexicans. We are not the only immagrants here with out any papers. Just because we choose to fight for what is right is bullshit!!!! Another thing Why is everyone complaining about the language. That if you don't speak english don't speak at all. All I have to say is don't get jeoules because when we get mad we can tell you off in our native tongue and you wouldn't understand. IF you were to read the statistics for 2016 White people are going to be a minority and latinos are going to be the majority in the United States and I believe that thats' what everyone is afraid of and to bad. And another thing Arnold Shit face needs to shut his mouth about immigrants because he migrated himself over here to make a new life. He succeded, married one of the kennedy's, and won the election for governer for California. Other people have dreams that's why we come to America and we have to get a chance too. I am not saying that we mexicans are perfect because we are not, but all you people are not either. What gave yall the right to all of a sudden call for all imigrations to go back to where they came from; When in do reeality it is the Americans fault for letting it happen all these years and never put an end to it til now and is for the wrong reason which is frustration. Because I believe that if the government would have helped legalize immigrants from the begining we wouldn't be having all this shit going on. And immigrants would have been here working obeying the laws like good citizens, Not that they aren't, but it wouldn't have gave this much havic. Well I have taken mostly everything off my chest and I thank you for letting me tell you my point of view. I'm MEXICAN!!!!! AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!
