If It Ain't Black, Is IT A "Civil Rights" Rally?al
09 Apr 2006
So not one damn American, black or white, will do any of the jobs these illegals are doing at any wage level? So no black kid is out of work because of the Liberal's New Little Pets?

Malcom X, a great Bostonian, would have seen through this bs.

stand up for all peoples rights. Immigrants make our city run, and (if we let them) have a lot of ideas and culture to bring to society.

MAY DAY! JOIN THE CALL FOR A GENERAL STRIKE

Meeting to plan a day of direct action in Boston on May 1

In solidarity with immigrant communities and with the call from
the March 25th Coalition for a nationwide general strike:

"We will settle for nothing less than full amnesty and dignity
for the millions of undocumented workers presently in the U.S."

Monday, April 10
6:30
Meet at the rally for immigrant rights.
Copley Place. Corner of Boylston and Dartmouth.

May Day Boston (ad hoc coalition), BAAM, Operation: Over

----------------------------
May 1, 2006: Call to Action!
----------------------------

"El Gran Paro Americano 2006"

Nationwide Immigrant General Strike

According to the anti-immigrant politicians and hatemongers, "immigrants
are a drain on society." If this is true, then during the day on May 1st
the stock market will surge, and the economy will boom. If not, we prove
them wrong once and for all. We know what will happen!

The points of unity are: No Work, No School, No Sales, and No Buying,
and also to have rallies around symbols of economic trade in your
areas (stock exchanges, anti-immigrant corporations, etc.).

We will settle for nothing less than full amnesty and dignity for the
millions of undocumented workers presently in the U.S. We believe
that increased enforcement is a step in the wrong direction and will
only serve to facilitate more tragedies along the Mexican-U.S. border
in terms of deaths and family separation.

Please organize your areas, and join this monumental event that will
put our mark on U.S. history.

just for clarification represents a very american centric view point. Immigrants are not here to increase the GDP of americans. They are here at great expense to themselves and their familys because US corporations want ever cheaper wages and therefore ever higher profits for their fat selves. Corporate imperialistic americans have controled and dominated countries to our south for those countries natural resourses and prevent living wages in those countries. Higher wages in their home countries would cut into the profits of american bannana, pineapple, and vegetable corporations as well as gold mining, other minerals and oil. Who would leave their own country risqueing life and limb to come here if american imperialism was not so oppressive and allowed them to prosper in the neighborhoods where they were born amoung family and freinds. Be clear about that. It was the same with Irish and other immigrants. They came here to escape opression and proverty by the rich and powerful controlling their own countries. If americans wish to solve this problem and ones that have so damaged us in the middle east perhaps we might use just a little intelligence and wake up to the fact that it is our foreign policy that is causing much of our own problems and the policy is driven by corporate america. Its the foreign policy stupid.

They are not "immigrants", they are "Illegal aliens"; They broke the law just by sneaking into this country.

The country is not the same place that it was 100 years ago when Europeans immigrated here LEGALLY ( i.e. proper papers, health screenings), the population is now huge, and economically we can not support more illegals, whether they are from Mexico, Ireland, or Moron-ica...

Just wait until some poor, "undocumented" immigrant who is infected with ebola slides across the boarder, or worse yet, when someone slides across with aWMD... What a bunch of far leftist bullshit !!
holding planning meetings on street corners...

After close examination of Sir Merriam Webster's reliable book, I have come to the conclusion that, indeed, this rally is an **immigrant** rally... Pertaining directly to *immigration* and those who chose to *immigrate* to this country.

These people are contributing members of our society and they have the same basic human rights that we all have under our Constitution. These individuals and families are working hard at jobs that many Americans obviously don't want, since they're able to find these unwanted jobs to work at them. And, perhaps most importantly, many of these people came here with the intent to pursue the American dream, indefinitely. Again, I think most folks will agree that this rally is for immigrants rights and immigrant law reform.

im·mi·grant : noun. 1. A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another.

im·mi·grate : verb. 1. To enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native.

im·mi·grat·ion : noun. 1. migration into a place (especially migration to a country of which you are not a native in order to settle there). To enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native.

Do you mean Immigrant rights or rights for illegal aliens? The rights for illegal aliens would be:
1. The right to 3 hots and a cot in prison.
2. The right to shower once daily.
3. The right to be treated humanely in prison.
