Before too long, viewers will have all the reason they need not to watch these charades, and the networks will have all the figures to show why they (sob sob) can't afford to cover them.

But isn't this what the Commission on Presidential Debates and the two parties ultimately want, anyway? To stop the annoying things altogether? Debates, like third parties, voters, or democracy, are potentially dangerous.
