webmaster of has been indicted for the distribution of information about bomb-making
You may all remember hearing about a kid who had his house raided by the feds last January. I'd never visited his site until now. It's actually a lot like indymedia and seem to be based on the same software. You can find more info about what going on at RTF or at

When we start facing oppression we know we're on the right track, eh? Let's hope our communication isn't drowned out by spam. I'd like to do something to show solidarity for Sherman. If anyone has any ideas, please share.

If you don't have something constructive to respond with, please don't respond, we don't care about your grandstanding and I'm not going to argue with trolls. Sorry for that little rant, I've dealt with too much of it today.

we need a support movement (english)
03 Sep 2002
the rate of arrest, conviction and incarceration of activists for political 'crimes' might increase, but what can be done NOW to prevent complete chaos later is to build solid links between groups supporting individuals or groups of victims of this new govt repression (which is just a continuation of cointelpro, which is out of mccarthyism, which is the palmer raids, which is ...). a network of supporters of this emerging generation of political prisoners needs to be established, and support coordinated collectively on a large (international/ transnational) scale for protest against this type of targeting to be at all effective. already we have had several high-profile victims, including tumbleweed, petey, free and critter, people like camille and other individuals targeted at big mobilizations, many secular muslim activists, and of course the list grows exponentially outside the us: uk, europe, s amer, africa, aus etc... imagine a pga-style rumbling of our collective spirits on a day of action, or on a campaign of actions. at least the scale of the dissent will be hard to ignore, as it currently is on the local level, dismissed by media and lawmakers alike, and therefore most of the public. the degree of repression is likely only to increase in severity and scale as opposition to us/ capitalist domination continues to grow. i strongly feel that in order to be effective we need a coordinated large-scale response over the long term.
one more thing (english)

oh yeah, and of course allying with the existing networks of people supporting the previous generations of PP's is crucial, as some anark prisoners have already done. prisoner solidarity and activism has the very real chance of becoming an integral part of mainstream culture with the activist community, if people who care about these people make it a point to express their views on a regular basis, like at public forums, open mics, demos, publications, in meetings of groups with which they work, etc.
