The racist English immersion ballot question has passed... take action and boycott the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Ballot Question 2, which outlaws bilingual education, passed by a wide margin in Massachusetts and was endorsed by the new governor-elect, Willard "Mitt" Romney. I'm urging all Latinos to boycott the commonwealth of Massachusetts, which has succumbed to xenophobic racism.

What if we work to get a question on the next ballot that would require first year spanish immersion for english speaking children? I can just hear the punditry of YAHOOS howling over this one.

I'm not sure that banning bilingual education is xenophobic racism. When my family emigrated here, it was expected that people learn English or go to non-English schools. They do not offer English public schooling in Mexico or Spain, or France, Russia, or Ethopia, for that matter. What's the point of doing it here, and is it fair?

Just some thoughts. I'm not sure how I feel on the matter.
