Mass takes next step towards legalizing marijuana (english)
11 Nov 2002
proposition on the 5th to decrminalize marijuana in massachusetts passes in every district it is offered in
in case you didnt already know, or you wanted to know more:

on the 5th in 19 different districts there was a proposition to decriminalize the casual use of marijuana, which would change it to a finable offense instead of a criminal one, which would mean you would get a fine for possession of a small amount instead of being arrested. In a few districts there was also a proposition to legalize the medical use of marijuana. Both propositions passed in every district they were offerred in, with the majority voting between 55% and 75% for the proposition. This is the next step towards legalization of marijuana in massachusetts.
Although this proposition will not really make any difference right now, in 2 years legislation will be able to vote for an actual law that would decriminalize marijuana. I just hope it passes, the voters have shown that they support it, now it's just up to the politicians

thanks to anyone that helped campaign for marijana
