|
One of the most important lessons of the Joann Little case that is applicable now is that extending working class solidarity to the most oppressed is not an act of charity but holds the key to building an effective fightback movement to liberate our entire class from all forms of bigotry and exploitation by the bosses. |

USA: Capitalism Threatens Us All |
by By the Editorial Board of the US Socialist Appeal (No verified email address) |
11 Mar 2006
|
|
The stakes are higher than ever. It's becoming increasingly clear to millions of workers that even in the "best of times", capitalism simply doesn't work anymore. The corruption, greed, and mismanagement of the system has reached unheard of proportions. Capitalism has always been an exploitative, oppressive system, but its existence was historically justified by the fact that it was able to drive technology and productivity forward. |

US drumbeat against Iran threatens new war of aggression |
by By Bill Van Auken (No verified email address) |
11 Mar 2006
|
With the US war and occupation in Iraq fast approaching its third anniversary, those in the Bush administration responsible for launching this unprovoked aggression based on lies about weapons of mass destruction and through intimidating the American people with fabricated threats of terror are once again beating the same war drums, this time against Iran.
Washington has succeeded in having charges over Iran’s nuclear program referred to the United Nations Security Council, where a response is to be debated beginning next week. Representatives of the council’s five permanent members met on Friday to draft a statement on the dispute, which the US is demanding include direct condemnation of the Teheran government and a possible threat of UN sanctions. |

Libby WILL WALK in CIA Leak: Boston's Brewster-Jennings Employees Went Public |
by Carolyn Kuhn (No verified email address) |
11 Mar 2006
|
LIBBY WILL WALK in CIA Leak Case -- (1) US Attorney Partrick Fitzpatrick can't successfully prosecute him because national-security concerns prevent Libby's lawyers from getting CIA records they need to mount a defense, and this is required for a trial. A federal judge today ordered that Libby's lawyers be provided with summaries of Presidential Daily Briefings, but that will never happen. The CIA will object and Bush will cite "executive privilege."
(2) Libby never should have been indicted for leaking former CIA officer Valerie Plame's name, because her so-called cover company, Brewster-Jennings Associates (BJA) in Boston, was not undercover. Former employees like Jean C. Edwards and Robert Lawrence Ellmann even advertise their associations with the company on the Internet! They were doing so before Brewster-Jennings and Valerie Plame came to light and they still are. |

Women of different political groups and professions were present at the March. Thirteen major groups joined forces under the banner “Martsa ng Kababaihan”. Present in big numbers were members of Akbayan, LABAN ng MASA, Bayan, Black and White Movement, women advocate groups like Gabriela Women’s Party, Welga ng Kababaihan, and WomenSpeak. In an interesting twist of history, this was the first time that the women’s movements gathered together in a common cause since the Marcos dictatorship. |

The land of International penny stock fraud makes for strange bedfellows and here often right wing cons of all stripes lie together. So it should come as no surprise that by touting or allowing his name to be used to tout a Michael Zwebner pump and dump penny stock scam(one of many over the years) President of Israel Moshe Katzav not only mixes his name and reputation with American mafia and international crooks and gangsters but also Mr.Zwebner's business partner in a number of scams over the years including UCSY or Universal Communications Systems is the infamous Mohamed Hadid,a Palestinian of ill repute connected to the Herndon,Virginia Muslim charity suspected in both money laundering and terrorist funding activities, including Al Qaeda. |
