Help Put NEW ENGLAND LABOR TV On the Air!
Labor videographers Peter Kastner and Bill Bumpus have begun work on NEW ENGLAND LABOR TV (NELTV), a proposed weekly cable access television show focusing on unions in New England. A "pilot program" has just been completed. The producers hope to have the series up and running soon. As the next step in making this project a reality, volunteers are needed who would schedule NELTV for broadcast on their local public access stations (if you haven't dealt with your local public access channel before, Peter and Bill can guide you through the process.) Can you help the labor movement create an alternative voice to corporate media? Call Peter at 617-661-7583 or Bill at 617-625-9070, or send email to neltv (at) yahoogroups.com .
Evidence is growing that President Bush wasn’t alone up there on the podium during his first debate with John Kerry. Was he getting help from his “brain” offstage? So far, Bush and the White House are refusing to explain what was under the president’s jacket that night.
When President Bush debated John Kerry last week in Florida, he basically told the American people: 1) I really do not want to be president for another four years, 2) I really do not know how to deal with the mess my administration has got us into, and 3) I can not sincerely defend the performance of my administration's past four years. He did not exactly say these things verbatim, but his heart sent these messages.
