NEW YORK CITY--I fish 50 cents out of my pocket and the Arab man behind the counter puts a newspaper in a bag for me. The front photo shows a rubber-banded pile of U.S. bills being counted out by brown hands--$500 blood money to the family of each Iraqi the U.S. admits to having killed. Most of the victims will never be named or counted- -but in the photo you can make out the faces of the dead presidents on the bills. I think of the slave-owning presidents and the war-making presidents, and all the toil and exploitation around the world that those bills represent

Now the DLC is telling us we are not allowed to debate this issue- we will continue with bush's occupation and his 'war on terror'- there is no other way- end of story. Do they really believe that Iraqi people desire our 14 'enduring bases' complete with Israel style concrete walls surrounding them? Or could they just another wing of the military-industrial complex? Imo, yes- this is all a setup... anybody but bush was all cointel-pro from the beginning.

the police were investigating yesterday whether the young off-duty transit officer who reported finding a burning backpack in the Times Square subway station on Monday night might have actually planted it there himself and detonated the pipe bomb inside, several police officials said. The explosion panicked riders and shut down part of the busy station shortly after the evening rush.
