The TTIP, TPP and TISA trade agreements create a parallel private arbitration system where corporations can sue states and states cannot sue corporations. Labor and environ-mental protections could become trade barriers.

TTIP: Attack on Democracy and the Constitutional State

A mass demonstration is planned for Saturday Oct 10 in Berlin against the TTIP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. A parallel private ad hoc arbitration system is created where corporations can sue states and labor and environmental protections are called trade barriers. States cannot sue corporations and decisions cannot be appealed.

Indymedia Linksunten is used and considered by many as a platform, but texts published on it soon become archived on back pages. Chronics in ‘underground notebooks’ or listings by topics create an overview from time to time. Much remains unnoticed, especially without a claim of responsibility in it’s stride. Therefore the city dweller receives hardly any agitation news happening in the country and in their own environment, if they do not take the trouble to study the tabloids and cop dispatches.
