Jill Stein, Green Party Candidate and Clean Elections supporter, will be excluded from Tuesday night's Gubernatorial debate at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Though originally invited to the event, she was recently disinvited because of the Corporate Media's decision that she is not newsworthy.
Students around the city, will be rallying at Northeastern University, to support the janitors going on strike around the city. Northeastern Univ. is the target of our action because over 150 janitors are employed by Consolidated and covered under the master contract. Northeastern has yet to issue a statement in support of the janitors.
The University of California sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Ché Café Collective, the university group that sponsors Burn, on Sept. 16. The letter cites a section of the USA Patriot Act that deems it unlawful for any U.S. citizen to provide "material support or resources" to foreign terrorist organizations.
During the talks in Moscow between the US Undersecretary Grossman and Russian minister for Foreign Affairs Ivanov, also the fate of pilot Michael Speicher was mentioned. Which prompted minister Ivanov afterwards to confirm : " And yes, we will also help looking for survivors in Iraq...". But Speicher's death was proven a long time ago by a joint US, International Red Cross and Iraqi forensic team that visited the crash site.
