I am writing this early Tuesday morning (Sept.17) right after visiting the MOVE home on Kingsessing Ave. in West Philadelphia. I spoke with three MOVE members keeping watch at the front gate of their home while the rest of the family was inside trying to get some rest. The situation is very tense right now and MOVE must be on 24 hour watch. The windows of their house (facing the street) are boarded up in preparation for a police assault.
Welcome to Philadelphia!
A web resource for existing efforts who soley communicate via phone to have a means of a basic web page focusing on historical and current content in a logical and creative manner to arrive at connections which will hopefully be rather broad and conducive to foster various relations of interest to the primary focus at hand. In this haste of this one I have fell short of my organized intent but will strive on during the next few days. I got so sidetracked that I only have a limited number of references regarding the pilot effort for the "Logan #", for all who have been in similar situations and who continue to be.
Not In Our Name Calls Boston Out to Resist War on 10/6
On 10/6, anniversary eve of the bombing of Afghanistan, Not In Our Name is organizing nationwide protests against the "war on the world", detentions and police state restrictions. A mass action will be held in Central Park, NYC to remember Afghanistan and stop in its tracks an imperialistic war on the people of Iraq. NION's Pledge of Resistance (video) calls for resistance against the blood-for-oil mantra and US policies of racism, repression, and collateral damage.
