Economists, in an effort to curb a recession which some are calling inevitable, have urged that the American public–those still with jobs anyway–go back to their daily routines and reengage in normal consumer behavior....
The last segment of the rally was Harvard's Kuumba singers, all wearing green ribbons, performing "Hold On Just a Little While Longer" in recognition of all the suffering of the past weeks. The suppression of articles of mine like "Delusions of War?" Id=3252 in selected cities like Richmond, Atlanta, and Vancouver may be an attempt to promote NYC-disasters in those cities. IMC Collectives seem to be at the forefront of this.
At noon on Sept. 20, hundreds came to the steps of Widener Library in venerable Harvard Yard to show our support for a peaceful response to the recent conflicts. The Anti-Capitalist Convergence is continuing our mobilization in Washington DC September 24 through October 1. We are calling for a march against the growing capitalist war on Saturday morning September 29th and invite all those interested in creating a world free from terror, hate, racism, poverty and war to demonstrate our unity and vision for a better world.
