Racist Reconstruction-era Law May Aid Bush in Florida

A racist Reconstruction-era law may help Texas Governor George W. Bush win the Florida race. On Tuesday, up to 31 percent of the African-American adult male population was not allowed to cast ballots for due to past felony convictions. Similar laws have disenfranchised 4.2 million across the country including one in seven adult African-American males, but no state has more disenfranchised voters than Florida.

Author/Filmmaker/Public Interest Advocate Michael Moore writes about opposing the electoral vote decision and system. Bush may win electoral and Gore seems to have won popular. The law says the electoral decides but a case where the electoral hasn't been the same as the popular hasn't happened since 1888. This law is a vestige of time when it was considered difficult for rural people to be "informed" and decide the president. The major media if they comment at all, blindly support the electoral, saying the people will just accept the law. Do what you can to stop the manufacturing of consent.
