People had become tired of paying for our government to fritter away taxpayer money and taxpayer time – and frittering of their time always means a frittering of taxpayer money. Republicans ran to the polls because they wanted a change. Many Democrats stayed home in part because many agreed with this. Independents also were fed up with government spending.
