The psychopath in the corner office |
Submitted by: @ / 27 May 2006
Publisher: Globe and Mail

Who is the most likely person in your corporation to be a stalker, a murderer, and/or a backstabber? The answer is very easy, it's whoever is the CEO and/or President:
Corporate psychopaths are greedy, selfish, deceptive, unreliable and prone to fits of rage. They are also charming and confident, give perfect interviews and quickly become everybody's favourite employee. They are social predators and quite possibly capable of murder.
But if they're bright, and have been brought up with good social skills, they will probably shun violence and use their psychopathic tendencies to win power, prestige and money.
Where do they go? Increasingly, straight to the top of today's flexible, fast-paced, high-risk corporations, where callousness and egocentricity have become acceptable trade-offs for fearless leaders who can rattle cages and get things done quickly. |

Military Confirms US Soldiers Shot Children Execution Style. |
Submitted by: brad / 27 May 2006

Last month, the details of a horrific atrocity emerged from Haditha, a town in Anbar province -- known as a hotbed of the Iraqi resistance.
In November, a roadside bomb killed Marine Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas, a 20-year-old Texan, on a road not far from Haditha. According to Time magazine, "The next day a Marine communiqu from Camp Blue Diamond in Ramadi reported that Terrazas and 15 Iraqi civilians were killed by the blast and that 'gunmen attacked the convoy with small-arms fire,' prompting the Marines to return fire, killing eight insurgents." Another military official later said the military command in Baghdad "knew of no civilian deaths in the engagement."
Marine officials have now confirmed that those accounts were false. What really happened, according to reports confirmed by the Pentagon, was this: A group of enraged Marines entered several homes in Haditha and murdered their occupants, including children, in cold blood. A video of the aftermath -- showing that the residents were unarmed when they were shot at point-blank range -- was obtained by Time. |

Autopsy: No Arabs on Flight 77 |
Submitted by: @ / 27 May 2006

A list of names on a piece of paper is not evidence, but an autopsy by a pathologist, is. I undertook by FOIA request, to obtain that autopsy list and you are invited to view it below. Guess what? Still no Arabs on the list. In my opinion the monsters who planned this crime made a mistake by not including Arabic names on the original list to make the ruse seem more believable. |

Harvard "Israel Lobby" Scapegoat - A left wing view |
Submitted by: Liam / 26 May 2006
Publisher: Znet
|
|
The authors' claim that the Israel lobby is a major factor in the formulation of overall U.S. Middle East policy is plainly false. Indeed, U.S. policy in the Middle East over the past several decades -- orchestrating military interventions and CIA-backed coups, backing right-wing dictatorships, peddling neoliberal economic policies through the International Monetary Fund and other international financial institutions, undermining the United Nations and international law, imposing sanctions against nationalist governments, etc. -- is remarkably similar to U.S. policy toward Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. If the United States can pursue such policies elsewhere in the world without pressure from the Israel lobby, why is its presence necessary to explain U.S. policies in the Middle East? |

Ex-Bush Personal Aide And College Dropout Granted Exception To Enroll At Harvard Business School... |
Submitted by: brad / 26 May 2006
Publisher: Political Wire
|
The Harvard Crimson: "A 26-year-old college dropout who carries President Bush’s breath mints and makes him peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches will follow in his boss’s footsteps this fall when he enrolls at Harvard Business School (HBS)."
"Though it is rare for HBS -- or any other professional or graduate school -- to admit a student who does not have an undergraduate degree, admissions officers made an exception for Blake Gottesman, who for four years has served as special assistant and personal aide to Bush." |

Got to love this guy: Galloway says murder of Blair would be 'justified' |
Submitted by: @ / 25 May 2006
Publisher: Independent
|
The Respect MP George Galloway has said it would be morally justified for a suicide bomber to murder Tony Blair.
In an interview with GQ magazine, the reporter asked him: "Would the assassination of, say, Tony Blair by a suicide bomber - if there were no other casualties - be justified as revenge for the war on Iraq?"
Mr Galloway replied: "Yes, it would be morally justified. I am not calling for it - but if it happened it would be of a wholly different moral order to the events of 7/7. It would be entirely logical and explicable. And morally equivalent to ordering the deaths of thousands of innocent people in Iraq - as Blair did." |

Religious Right Reenacts Nazi Rallys |
Submitted by: brad / 25 May 2006
Publisher: Truth Dig
|
If you haven’t, check out this article about Battlecry Philadelphia, a gathering of 17,000 kids from 2,000 churches to reenact a Nazi Youth rally without the sex or the knowledge of what they’re doing. In other words, they’re complete suckers. The only reason to attend a fascist hootenanny is for the orgiastic potential, though I recommend putting the diaphram in beforehand because they appear to look askance at any woman caught exercising a reproductive right or two.
