Australian Leader -- "underdog"
The Prime Minister of Australia claimed today that he would contest the forthcoming Federal election as the underdog -- another tired (and familiar) Howard tactic! The failing politician failed to mention that it was he who created the situation with his inane, ill-considered comments ranging from his hysterical criticisms of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, as the terrorist friendly candidate, to his astounding comments on HIV and immigration bans.

BIO backlash: Hub braces for conference protests
Anarchists, radical environmentalists and other activists from across the country are gearing up for a “massive week of resistance” in opposition to an international biotechnology conference in Boston next month that likely will mark the largest Hub protests since the 2004 Democratic National Convention. While police resources are already stretched from a spike in street violence, the department is bracing for potentially large-scale protests of the BIO International Convention May 6-9 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The city is in the midst of building a security plan reminiscent of the costly show of force at the DNC.

German army in 'racist video' row
A video aired on German TV has shown an army recruit on firing practice being ordered to pretend he was in New York's Bronx facing hostile African Americans.

In the grainy 90-second video, the instructor tells the soldier to swear as he fires his gun.

US civil rights leader, Al Sharpton, said it was outrageous to depict blacks as "target practice".

Timor-Leste: El Dorado of the South Pacific
The current population of East Timor is approximately one million souls while the value of its natural gas and oil reserves amount to billions of dollars. However, the tiny new island nation is impoverished with above 35% unemployment and a rural based economy. Without elaborating further, Timor-Leste presents an extremely volatile situation as greedy interests, primarily America via its 'World' Bank and Australia-New Zealand acting as the military arm, poise themselves to exploit the impoverished people and nation of Timor-Leste.

Email to CIA Operative Bill O’Reilly
The Factor, straight from the CIA's mouth?

Mr. O’Reilly:

I am, of course, not surprised you did not respond to my last email, or the one before that. Naturally, a man of your stature and influence need not reply to critics, especially small fish critics from the blogosphere. Even so, I believe it is worth a try to send yet another email your way, however futile the attempt, and ask yet another question.

Mr. O’Reilly, do you work for the CIA, or have you ever worked for the CIA?

Stalkers go high tech to intimidate victims
A phenomenon once familiar to Boston IMC, cyberstalking continues to grow in terms of victims and perps. The mentally deranged such as "KOBE SBM" go on stimulating themselves as the expense of others as the law seems powerless to stop them (of course, the law is not powerless, it just doesn't care about working class people).

ust as technology has opened a new realm of abuse to those who seek to stalk someone from afar, cyber-stalking, in turn, has opened a new avenue of violation. Victims feel powerless to stop others from reading legal documents and intimate correspondence as well as tracking their every online move.

"What's so disturbing for many victims is that they can be harassed or followed from anywhere," said Susan Folwell, manager of the Domestic Violence Grant Program at the Women's Center, a counseling and resource center in Vienna. She said she has worked with victims who have had GPS devices placed in children's backpacks and listening devices put in tote bags.

Kamikaze Bird Tries to do Good and Fails
Bird Flies Into Engine Of Cheney's Plane

“All of a sudden we heard this tremendous bang,” said Jon Bernaden, a passenger on that flight. “We were pretty lucky that the pilot and the engine did exactly what they were supposed to do.”

Commentary: Human Rights
HIV carriers not welcome in Australia
The grotesque and disgusting, pathological, lying coward Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard is cutting a comical figure as he flounders from one gaffe and blunder to another. Jumping straight from the 'cubicle' of support for a known racist and questionable character (Alan Jones) to the primitive, superstitious behaviour of stigmatising individuals suffering manageable maladies and preventing them from entering the country. Howard's recent gesture of banning individuals with HIV is reminiscent of the all-male, ruling priest class of the Old Testament who banished women experiencing their menstrual cycle. Menstruating women once struck fear into the hearts of ignorant and primitive men -- the primitivism of it all! Howard is exposing some extremely disturbing gender issues and phobias with his latest unenlightened attempt to manipulate Australian society.
